Sunburn home remedy - Try out these following effective home remedy to get relief from sunburn:-)
Sunburn Home remedy #1: Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.
Sunburn Home remedy #2: Add a little lemon juice to milk and apply with cotton wool. Mayonnaise can also be applied by itself. It helps to soothe sunburn.
Sunburn Home remedy #3: Mix olive oil with equal quantity of vinegar and apply an hour before your bath for sunburn relief.
Sunburn Home remedy #4: A thin paste of sandalwood applied to the sunburn area is beneficial.
Sunburn Home remedy #5: Make a pulp of raw papaya and apply. Papaya has a cleansing action, softening dead skin cells and aiding their removal.
Sunburn Home remedy #6: Grated cucumber can be applied all over the face. The juice is good for the skin around eyes too. Helps to tighten the skin and has a cooling and refreshing effect.
Sunburn Home remedy #7: Make a paste of Barley, turmeric and yogurt in equal proportions. Apply it over the area of sunburns for sunburn relief.

Some more effective remedies to soothe sunburn:
*-- Baking soda - Dissolve some baking soda in water and make a compress using a clean cloth. Another remedy is to add 1/2 cup of baking soda to a tepid bath and soak. Instead of drying the affected area with a towel, let it air dry. Baking soda is cooling and will help the skin retain moisture.
*-- Vinegar - Try taking a cool shower. NOT COLD. You can add vinegar to your bath water. The vinegar will take out the sting from the sunburn. You can also add oatmeal to your bath (grind ut up in a blender to produce a fine powder if possible or try oatmeal bath that you can buy at your local drugstore).
*-- Cucumber - Rub sunburned area with fresh cucumber slices
Epsom Salts - Dissolve epsom salts in water and make a compress using a clean cloth.
*-- Yogurt with Strawberries paste - mix equal parts of yogurt and mashed strawberries and apply to the sunburned area for 10 minutes. Rinse well with cool water.
*-- Ice - Apply ice to the burned area, this will stop the burning process and cool the skin from inside.
I know this sounds completely crazy but vapor rub is not just for colds anymore!! It is the greatest relief for sunburn I know of. I work with teenage girls, who are absolutely impossible when they get burned!! We use the vapor rub on their burnt skin and it takes out the itching, burning and stiffness.
